Agile testing: An organizational mind shift

Paul Wijntjes, Agile Advies

and

Pascal Dufour, Agilix

Many people think of Agility when they think about “Need for Speed”: Shorter time to Market, being able to quickly react on changes, etc. But, if you really want to be Agile as a tester, you need more than just Agile testing practices, like:

  • Continuous delivery
  • Continuous Integration
  • Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATTD)
  • Exploratory Testing
  • Customer collaboration

Being an Agile organization is more than just doing the rules of an Agile framework like Scrum of Kanban. It often needs a complete cultural mind shift. This organizational transformation is needed from top to bottom.

Ever heard this?: “One positive test and one negative test is more than enough to test the functionality. You don't need to do exploratory testing”.

This session helps Tester and Managers better understand there is more to Agility, than just the Agile Test Practices. You’ll understand how day-to-day problems relate to organizational aspects, which are illustrated with real life examples.
