Dutch Testing Day 2015, Call for Proposals

The 21st edition is organized by Nspyre on 6 October 2015. The Dutch Testing Day will be held on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. This conference about all aspects of software testing has a long tradition bringing science, education and businesses together in search for synergy. This year’s topics are:

  • Need for speed
  • Integration without test
  • Testing software that should not be used

The Dutch Testing Day offers a large variety of track sessions. Test professionals from companies, students and teachers from Universities benefit from each other’s knowledge. The goal is sharing new developments on software and system testing. There will be sufficient opportunity for informal discussion and networking during the breaks.

After registration, the conference is free of charge thanks to our sponsors.

Due to the large number of enthusiastic visitors in previous editions, the number of participants is limited to 250. Of all participants approximately 25-35% relates to universities. The program will consist of both Dutch and English spoken presentations. Besides the 10-15 sessions in 3 parallel tracks, 2-3 key note speakers will be presenting.

Call for proposals for the Dutch Testing Day

The organization committee of the Dutch Testing Day invites everyone to send a proposal for a presentation that is somehow related to the listed subjects. This proposal can relate to certain research or survey, practical experience or target one of the topics. Each presentation is limited to 30 minutes including time for questions and answers.

2015 topic elaboration:

  • Need for speed: Everything in our modern society is speeding up. This also true for system development and, because of that, certainly testing. This relates to all aspects of testing like; test automation, Agile development, Model Based Testing, UI testing and so on.
  • Integration without test: Continuous Integration in Agile software development results in early defect detection without noticeable test effort. Boundaries between testing and developing are fading. Is it possible to reinvent system integration in such a way, that testing will become superfluous?
  • Testing software that should not be used: Safety critical systems as found in tunnels, trains and medical equipment become hardly or never active. Those systems thereof don’t need to be tested based on the risk analysis because of the low probability. Right???

We are expecting presentations that direct or indirect relate to these topics. The proposals will be judged by an independent Program Committee, consisting of experts, on a number of aspects.

Proposals can be sent directly to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Please monitor our website (www.testdag.nl) for announcements and changes. On the website you will also find the form to be used for sending in your proposal (click here).

The deadline for submission of your proposal is: 5 June. The program will be published in August.
