Flexibilize Testing

There are different ways to test systems. Most test organizations or test teams use only one or a few ways of testing, even if that way is not the most appropriate in that particular situation. In the introduction Jan Jaap will tell how he found out his view on testing was very limited. After that Jan Jaap will introduce different ways of testing. First he will explain the difference between scripted testing and exploratory testing. Placed on the continuum from scripted testing to exploratory testing he will explain the different ways of testing. Both the essence of every way and the situation it is most useful will be explained.

In the last part of the presentation Jan Jaap will give his opinion how to come to a test strategy for a specific project by using different ways of testing. The conclusion will be that there is not one superb way of testing. A professional tester masters different ways and depending on the situation uses that way that best fit the situation. By combining the different ways testers optimize their test effort.
